Kylie Watson as “Jill”
Kylie began acting at the age of 21, and landed her first full time role as feisty lifeguard ‘Shauna’ in the international series ‘Home & Away’. Her training was mostly on set, however, she’s since completed various courses, and studied American dialect with James Hagan and Prof. John Higgins.
Kylie has starred in various award winning short films including ‘Turn Right’, Lookout’, ‘Method’ and ‘Force Mass Motion’; stage plays including ‘Cinderella’ and ‘Soap Street’ (UK), and Marty Worrell’s (Pop Idol) music video ‘One Day’. In 2008, Kylie starred alongside Jay La’aGaia in the film ‘Lightswitch’ as mysterious and troubled biker gal ‘Shauna’ who falls for a younger woman.
Jak Wyld as “Maj. Dan Nash”
Jak began his acting career in New Zealand in 2001. After several roles in NZ television he moved to Australia in 2002. Since arriving in Sydney he has continued to expand his experience in Film and TV.
In 2005 Jak landed a supporting role in the feature film’ Gene– X’, and since then has not looked back. Appearing on such shows as ‘Mary Bryant’ and ‘All Saints’, Jak has built up a comprehensive resume of Film and TV work.

Aaron J. March as “Alex”
Aaron has appeared in short film, stage, (both in Australia and New York) and the Australian feature films Wolf Creek (2005), Look Both Ways (2004), Scratch (2000), as well as a number of national and international TV advertising campaigns.
Aaron has studied with the Actor’s Ensemble and Shakespeare Alive! in New York leading to stage roles including Iago in ‘Cymbeline’ (2006) and the Walking The Dog Theater production of ‘Hamlet’ (winner ‘Best Production 2007’ – NY Register Star)
Kyle Rowling as “Capt. Kayster”
Kyle is a professional Fight Director, and a trained actor, director, instructor, trainer, performer and choreographer of ‘Stage Combat’ for theatre, film and television.
Kyle’s career in Stage Combat began 30 years ago when he started studying acting and martial arts, and he has worked on major international productions including ‘Star Wars Ep II & III’, ‘Wanted’, ‘Troy’ and ‘Gabriel’.
In October 2000, Kyle opened The Sydney Stage Combat School, the first Stage Combat School in Australia, and teaches and choreographs productions at many of Australia’s top acting institutes including; NIDA, The Actors College, and The Actors Centre Australia, and also choreographs major productions for the Sydney Theatre Company (STC), Opera Australia (OA), the Bell Shakespeare Company, Company B: Belvoir St.
Belinda Crawley as “Liz”
Belinda graduated from Central Queensland University with a degree in Performing Arts in 2006, after which she continued her musical theatre training, completing the NIDA Singer Dancer Actor course in 2007.
In 2008, Belinda co-wrote and starred in the critically acclaimed cabaret series, FLAW PLAY, at Sydney’s Bar Me and reprised her role again this April in the next instalment of the series ‘FLAW PLAY: Relapsed’ which has enjoyed a sell out season.
Belinda is currently in her final year of The Screen Actor at NIDA and has appeared in short films for APA International Film School and Sydney Film School.
P.H.O.B.O.S. is Belinda’s feature film debut.
Nicole Verhoeven as “Toni”
Nicole graduated from UWS Theatre Nepean in 2003, and has been training with the Sydney Stage Combat School 2004 and after gaining her Advanced Certificate is currently studying as an instructor. Nicole is trained in many weapon systems and unarmed styles, and has appeared professionally with companies such as the Acting Factory, CUT Theatre and Alchemy Theatre, and appeared in the second season of Double the Fist as ‘Kevin’. Nicole is now attempting her stunt grading.
Patricia Cotter as “Lt. Walker”
Patricia is a professional actor, whose passion together with her combat training and drama teaching, is the ‘Classics’. Patricia has played most of Shakespeare’s gutsiest women, including Juliet, Ophelia, and Rosalind for the Shakespeare by the Sea Company; and has toured for two years with the Bell Shakespeare Company, on the production ‘The Comedy of Errors’ and for their Actors At Work program. Patricia has also appeared on ‘All Saints’, and as a bare-knuckled fighting Russian terrorist for the ABC’s ‘Double the Fist’. She is proficient in Rapier & Dagger, Quarterstaff, unarmed combat, broadsword etc and is a competent Harness Flyer (as performed in Pan at the Capitol Theatre as Wendy Darling.) Patricia is currently performing as Thaisa in Cut Theatre’s Queen Lere.
Patrick Connolly as “Dick”
Patrick is a relative newcomer to acting, having graduated from the Actors College of Theatre and Television (ACTT) in 2007. He has, however, performed many theatrical roles, from Oberon in Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream to Edmund Burke in Nick Enright’s Mongrels. Recently Patrick performed in Shades Theatre’s Shadowmuse, and in Wildfire Theatre’s productions of Macbeth and The Beauty Queen of Leenane, and is currently appearing in Conor McPherson’s St. Nicholas at the Bondi Pavilion. PHOBOS is Patrick’s first feature role.
Jennifer Isabel King as “Deborah”
Jennifer has been acting since childhood, making up plays on her front lawn at the tender age of 3. She began pursuing acting seriously in the year 2000, starting out with Artists in Exile at Riverside studios in London which, with their unconventional approach ignited her passion for creating innovative & daring works. This led her to train in the UK for 5 years as an actor & during this time she also studied writing.
Jennifer has appeared in international and Australian feature films, theatre, short film & TV. She has co written a play which was performed in London & is currently working on a feature script. PHOBOS is Jennifer’s 5th Feature film.
Stephen Dunlevy as “Sgt. Takiri”
Michael Pentecost as “Sgt Rogers”
Michael has worked in a stage combat role for various industry establishments, including The Sydney Theatre Company, Opera Australia and most recently assisted Lawrence Carmichael in the ABC’s upcoming return season of Double the Fist (in which he also acted). Proficient in all weapon systems, he has taught students at the National Institute of Dramatic Art, The Actors’ Centre, The Actors’ College and at the school itself. Michael trained as an actor at The Drama Studio, London, and was introduced to stage combat by the renowned John Waller. He has performed in countless fight scenes throughout his acting career, many of which have been plays by Shakespeare. Michael has worked and trained with the Sydney Stage Combat School for the last six years, becoming an instructor in 2006. When not involved in acting or stage combat, Michael works for SBS Television.
Blake Wells as “Pvt. Yip”
Blake is currently in his final year of training at The Actors College of Theatre and Television. During his second year of study Blake was introduced to stage combat and since then has never looked back. Receiving his Basic Certificate late 2004, he went on to complete the Intermediate Certificate in February 2005. Blake is competent in Unarmed, Rapier and Dagger, Single Sword, Quarterstaff, Sword and Buckler and what is quickly becoming his favorite French Small Sword. Blake was fight captain for his college’s recent production of Vinegar Tom, and is currently in training for his Advanced Certificate.
Stef Dawson as “Amy”
Stef graduated from Wollongong University’s School of Music and Drama Degree in 2004, and completed Screenwise 12 month Intensive Course in 2005. She has trained in YAT, Chubbuck and Stanislavsky methods, masterclasses with Kate Gaul, as well as Voice Overs with Andrew Carlton and American Accent dialect with Paige Walker and John Higgins.
Stef has appeared in TV’s “All Saints”, “Out of The Blue” and “Couriers” and has worked in theatre around Sydney, including the world premiere of ‘Night Vision’ with Impulse Theatre Company. Stef has appeared in many short films, commercials and music videos and was also the vocal coach for Khoa Do’s production of ‘Mother Fish’. Stef was also special guest singer for Merely Players and performed in various cabarets at ‘Bar Me’. Stef sings in Vietnamese and performs regularly for Vietnamese events nationally and internationally, and continues to train in Opera. PHOBOS is Stef’s first feature film.
